Steven Marrone
While not born in Texas, Steven has called the State “home” since his family relocated to San Antonio in 1982. He graduated with a BS in Architecture from UTSA in 2006 and practiced architecture with a prominent local design firm and is a licensed architect. During his architectural career he worked on a variety of project types with a multitude of owners, ranging from state institutions to private development client. Some of his projects received local and state design award recognition and he was part of the Texas Society of Architects Firm of the Year awarded in 2014.
Following a career in architecture, Steven attended St. Mary’s University School of Law where he received his JD, graduating cum laude in 2018. While in law school Steven served, first as a staff writer and subsequently as editor-in-chief, on The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice.
Steven represents design professionals in litigation, applying his more than nine years of experience in the construction industry in protecting their interests and furthering their defense. He also defends clients in first- and third-party settings against personal injury and property damage claims.
Steven is a member of AIA, The Texas Society of Architects, serving on the Government Relations Committee and bill-reading sub-committee, the San Antonio Chapter of AIA, and serves on the Board of Directors for the ACE Mentorship Program of San Antonio.
